| If you're looking for a software nutrition and fitness manager for personal or family use, you'll not find a more powerful or flexible product than NutriBase. Here are some reasons we believe you should put NutriBase at the top of your list:
1. NutriBase Diet Software fits any pocketbook or level of computer sophistication. Prices range from $34.95 for NutriBase Junior to $2,495.00 for our 50-Node Network Edition. If you're looking for a package that is very easy to learn and use, check out NutriBase EZ Edition. If you are a more sophisticated software user and you want the additional power available to you, consider one of our consumer editions: NutriBase Junior, Personal, or Personal Plus.. And if you are a nutrition or fitness professional, take a look at NutriBase Clinical and higher editions. 2. Quality of the Nutritional Information. NutriBase provides the latest research quality nutrient data available. This data is thoroughly documented. This documentation provides a complete reference as to how the nutrient values were derived or what method was used to determine the value or potency of any nutrient value, including Minerals, Vitamins, and Proximates. Peruse our bibliography to check the references used. 3. NutriBase Diet Software also includes nutrient data for thousands of brand name foods and restaurant menu items. These food items include values for Calories, Protein, Carbohydrates, Total Fat, Saturated Fat, Sodium, Total Dietary Fiber, Cholesterol, % Calories from Protein, % Calories from Carbohydrates, % Calories from Fat, Calories from Protein, Calories from Carbohydrates, and Calories from Fat. This data is not as thorough or as well-documented as the research quality nutrient database (food makers are not required to perform in-depth laboratory analyses of their products), but it serves as a guideline for your clients who are fond of pre-prepared or restaurant foods. 4. No nutrition software product today compares - even remotely - to NutriBase Diet Software. Our data retrieval technology is unmatched at any price. Please look at the Software Comparison Chart to see how NutriBase Personal Plus compares to the most expensive products on the market today. And for a listing of features that you won't find in other products, check our list of unique features. 5. NutriBase Diet Software makes it easy to keep the NutriBase installations on two or more PC's perfectly synchronized. This makes it easy to take your desktop "on the road" with you. If you need to move your NutriBase information back and forth between your desktop and notebook PC or between your work and home PC conveniently, quickly, and safely, NutriBase does it for you with just a few mouse clicks. Easily transfer all of your NutriBase data (client records, recipes, Meal Plans, intakes, personal information, diaries, shopping lists - everything) between your desktop and notebook PC. To backup your data to a floppy (or any other media), click the Backup Button and select the backup drive. To restore your data to your desktop or notebook PC, just click the Restore Button. That's all there is to it. 6. NutriBase Diet Software gives you considerable control over your nutrient data. View nutrient data in a spreadsheet view to view the data in a tabular format of columns and rows. Drag and drop column headers to resequence the columns. Drag the right edge of any column header to resize the column width (NutriBase remembers the new settings for you). Zoom in or out of the data to view more columns and rows of nutrient data or to view the data in a larger font size. Select a row and highlight it. Double-click the food item to see all the nutrient data for that one item in a single-screen view. Mark a block of data on the screen and save it to a file (export it) or print it. Enter the split-screen view to place a vertical red "splitter bar" on your screen - the nutrient data is synchronized in the vertical direction. you have two independent horizontal scroll bars, making it easy to view, say, Calorie and Protein data on one side and Amino and Fatty Acid information on the other. To our knowledge, these features are not found in any other nutrition software package at any price. 7. NutriBase Diet Software has had its data published in the most successful series of nutritional information books in bookstores today. The NutriBase Series of books are published by the Avery Publishing Group. The author is Dr. Art Ulene. With over two million of these books in circulation, NutriBase data has earned a reputation for the high quality of its nutrient database. 8. You can instantly produce a wide variety of reports for your clients. And most of these reports are created by simply selecting the report you want and clicking a button to produce it. These reports make quick, value-added hand-outs. 9. The NutriBase Meal Plan capability saves time and money. You can download free, preconfigured Meal Plans from our web site. Modify them as needed. Create Meal Plans that suit a particular need. For instance, you could create a set of several basic Meal Plans (weight-loss, body-building, low sodium, diabetic, etc.). Print them out with a one-page listing for each day of the plan. This Meal Plan Summary lists all the foods your client should eat, along with the portion sizes. All foods are organized by meals and snacks... in checklist format. If you prefer, you can export a four-week Meal Plan to a single compact file. Record Meal Plans as intakes (just select the Meal Plan you are using, select the client (yourself), and select the starting date - NutriBase fills in the complete intake for you for the next 4 weeks). Take an existing Meal Plan and edit it. Copy portions of one Meal Plan to a day (or days) of the same or different Meal Plan. Export the Meal Plan to a compact file. Share them or trade them with colleagues. Email them as attachments. Transfer (export) Meal Plans by copying them to diskette. Send them as email attachments. 10. NutriBase Diet Software facilitates deep nutrient analysis for intakes, recipes, Meals, and Meal Plans. The NutriBase Analyze Program automatically generates professional, pre-formatted reports as word processor documents, spreadsheet files (Clinical version), or as fully formatted Web pages (Clinical and higher editions). 11. Use the Compose Button to locate where all that sodium, fat, cholesterol, or any other nutrient is coming from in your recipe or intake. Select any recipe or intake, then click the Compose Button. Select any nutrient, then select whether you wish to sort the ingredients or intake items in the recipe from high-to-low or from low-to-high based on the selected nutrient. The resulting "composition analysis" will itemize your ingredients or intake items in ascending or descending order (as desired) based on the percentage of the nutrient it contains in the recipe. This will not only tell you which ingredients or intake item contain the most (or least) of a particular nutrient, it will tell you specifically what percentage of the total recipe that particular ingredient or intake item contains. This gives you the feedback you need to modify any recipe or intake for the better. 12. Query the database. The NutriBase query function lets you locate the food items that meet your exacting criteria. You may specify the upper (or lower limits) for as many (or as few) nutrients as you wish. The NutriBase query locates all the foods that meet all your criteria. For instance, you can locate all the foods that have at least 2 grams of Protein, no more than 360 mg of Sodium, no more than 30% of its calories from Fat, no more than 2 grams of Saturated Fat, at least 10 IU's of Vitamin E, and so on. You can specify as many or as few nutrients as you wish. You can even specify every nutrient in the database if you wish. When you've defined all your search criteria, click the Search Button and NutriBase will display all the food items that meet your criteria. "Mine" your nutrient data for the foods that fit perfectly into the recipes and Meal Plans you create and recommend for your clients. 13. Rank (sort) the nutrient database. A ranking is a method of sorting your data from high-to-low (or from low-to-high) based on its values for any nutrient or variable. Select a nutrient or variable. Select whether you wish to sort the food items from high-to-low or from high-to-low based on their value for the selected nutrient or variable. Click the Okay Button. When the search results are displayed to the screen, note that the first nutrient column is the one you selected to rank. Note also that the food items are sorted by their value for the selected variable in either ascending or descending order as you specified. 14. NutriBase displays the total calories and the "PCF Ratio" for every recipe, intake, and Meal Plan. A "PCF ratio" (Protein-Carbohydrate-Fat Ratio) of 15-55-30 means that 15% of calories from the recipe, intake, or Meal Plan comes from Protein, 55% from Carbohydrates, and 30% from Fat. If you know the calorie level and the PCF ratio for a diet, you probably already know the two most important things about that diet. If you prefer, you can tell NutriBase to display the CPF Ratio instead (just click this option in the User Preferences section). 15. Share recipes and Meal Plans via diskette, as an email attachment, or as an Internet download/upload. NutriBase lets you export and import recipes and meal plans. All exported recipes and Meal Plans are compatible across all versions of NutriBase. This means you can create a Meal Plan or recipe in any version of NutriBase and share it with users of the other versions of NutriBase (and vice versa). Each version of NutriBase will show you the nutrients featured in that version. 16. NutriBase Diet Software (even the consumer versions) provides detailed nutrient information for enteral and parenteral products. These "medical nutritionals" are the tube feed and nutritional injection products used in hospitals and other care facilities. This information helps you compare the various mainstream products and educate the personnel (both physicians and patients) involved in their use. It also simplifies the integration of these medical nutritionals into your Meal Plans for clients with special needs. We've included the product lines from all the major providers of these products, including B. Braun/McGaw, Mead Johnson Nutritionals, Nestlé Clinical Nutrition, Novartis (Sandoz), R&D Laboratories and Ross. NutriBase includes information for medical nutritionals for Carbohydrate and Protein Supplements, Critical Care/Healing Support, Diabetes/Glucose Intolerance, Elemental Diet, Gastro-Intestinal Support, Hepatic Support, Intact Protein Diet, Vitamin and Mineral Supplements, Parenteral Products (Nutrient Injections), Pediatric, Pulmonary Support, and Renal Support. 17. NutriBase Diet Software provides an updated nutrient database which features 37,000+ food items. We've added (to the Personal Plus Edition) the data for Omega-3 Fatty Acids, Omega-6 Fatty Acids, Chromium, and Molybdenum. We also track "Vitamin and Mineral Supplements" and "Sports and Diet Nutritionals." The Sports and Diet Nutritionals category contains over 600 listings for exercise recovery drinks, power bars, protein shakes, body building formulas, and liquid meal products. Our new restaurant sections feature over 3,200 menu items from restaurant chains. 18. While viewing nutrient information in the spreadsheet view, NutriBase Diet Software users can click the column headers to sort all the food items you are viewing from high-to-low based on their values for the nutrient in the column you clicked. (Click the column header again to instantly reverse the sort sequence.) The Search Icon in NutriBase allows you access to all the NutriBase search functions, including View Data, Rank Data, Query Data, Food Name Search, Brand Name Search, Recipe Search, Meal Search, and Personal Food Item Searches. First-Time users help has also been implemented. The new Help File and User's Manual now include far more graphics... a trend we hope to continue in future editions. 19. Save inputting time by auto-recording a pre-determined list of foods that you want to automatically record each time you record any food item for a client. This way, each time you record an intake for a new day for a particular client, NutriBase will automatically record the foods you specified for that client. You can define an auto-record list for every client if you wish. 20. One of these days, you may have a technical question about NutriBase Diet Software. Who you gonna call? CyberSoft, of course. You may discover that you don't know how to do something with NutriBase. Or perhaps you just want to know if NutriBase can do something. Just call toll free at 1-877-223-5459 and a member of the software development team will answer your question or walk you through any procedure. They can answer any question you can ask them (about NutriBase) quickly and concisely. Wouldn't it be nice to talk to someone who actually knows more about the software than you do? |
